The stunning plate featuring the traditional Lielvarde Belt pattern is created only by hand, without the use of a pottery lathe by Madze ceramics.
The approximate diameter of the plate is 30cm  and weight 1 kilogram.
The ancient craft of the black reduced ceramics gives the plate its unique, black, earthy finish. The method has been used for thousands of years,before the era of glazed ceramics and has recently seen a popular return. The final pieces are stunning, individual and unique as the process itself.
This piece exhibits various stages of oxidization which results in various colours.
